first experimental short film BY RAMI ABBAS

This short film have been produced by UNRWA during Summer camp workshop 2007 with palestinian children refugees from Iraq in the palestinian refugee camp Al-Yarmouk ( Syria ).

what happened there?

The security of the approximately 34.000 palestinian refugees in Iraq has drastically deteriorateds since the American invasion in march 2003.
Today, around 700 Palestinian refugges who have fled Iraq are stranded in appalling condition in al-Tanaf in theno-man’s land on the Iraq-Syria border. The narrow strip of land, wedged between a concret wall and the maintransit road from Baghdad to Damascus, is dry and dusty. Temperatur soar to 50 C i summer and plunge to belowfreezing in winter. Overcrowded tents are the only protection.
